“ The building says Local Kitchen. It's a small building with ample parking. I've been here before under a different business setting but the place looks different in a good way. Inside has 2 long benches against the wall but there are no tables. It's clean inside and things are organized. I was in the mood for some Thai food (soup, etc.), but I realized the setting is more take out so I ordered something dry - crispy chicken and jasmine rice. The chicken is delicious although a bit overcooked, but it was really crispy! It came with oriental chili sauce and some creamy spicy sauce that goes so well with the chicken. Yum!! Service is very friendly. I got to speak to a man (presumably the owner) who's very cordial and answered all my questions patiently. He said they may decide to bring in some tables in the future. I can't wait to come back to try other items on the menu. ”
“ I've been looking forward to trying Tam Sang, and my first taste did not disappoint. There are few menu options to choose from at Local Kitchens, so I ordered the red curry with sweet potato. The curry, jasmine rice, and Thai basil were conveniently packaged separately, which allowed me to easily (and cleanly) assemble everything once I brought my order home. Everything was still warm and fresh by the time I unpacked the food, and the ratio of curry to rice was perfect. The coconut curry was mildly spicy, sweet, and creamy, and the Thai basil garnish added to the overall freshness. The sweet potato wasn't cloyingly sweet; however, it was on the mushier side and disintegrated into the curry. The fried tofu did a nice job of absorbing the curry like a sponge, and everything went so well together. I'd definitely order the red curry with sweet potato again, and I'm also interested in trying the noodle dish. ”

On a Sunday afternoon, I ordered using the Local Kitchens App: - Tam Sang Crispy Wings (6) - Yam Yai Salad. Crispy Wings, Grade (5/5): At first, I thought $14.95 was a bit high for six chicken wings. But these wings are REALLY good. The crispy coating has a unique taste, and the meat is juicy and tender. But be aware, I always pickup my own orders at Local Kitchens. So these wings were fresh from the kitchen, and were still hot. Yam Yai (Thai Chef Salad), Grade (4/5): This is a nicely blended combo of chicken, lettuce, egg, cucumber, carrot, onion, pickled garlic, fried tofu, scallion, and chopped peanuts. With a Sri-Rancha dressing, the salad is a little spicy. Unlike other salads, this salad is mixed throughout. Service & Quality Control, Grade (5/5) The Local Kitchens App let me know when my order was ready. I was greeted by the staff at the counter, and they handed me my order. Napkins and utensils are available in the lobby. I have been following the Local Kitchens brand for over 2 years, and I have been to every location in the Bay Area. I think Lafayette is the best in consistent food quality. (All my reviews are based on pickup orders, not delivery). Overall, a great first experience ”
